Nancy’s House hosts Kay Coughlin presenting “New Year! New Boundaries!”

January 12 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm

Free

Presenting the first workshop in our Practical Skills series, Kay Coughlin (Facilitator on Fire), will be talking about how to set boundaries. The new year is a great time to start working intentionally on your self-care. Kay will be presenting  4 workshops this year to assist you in doing that. One issue that remains prominent among most caregivers is the issue of having difficulty setting and maintaining boundaries.

Description: Choices we make about what’s OK and not OK with us – and the actions we’ll take when those choices are not respected – are known as personal boundaries. Setting boundaries and communicating to others about them is difficult work for most humans. Yet it’s work that can lead to a dramatic increase in any person’s happiness, fulfillment, satisfaction and joy in life. What gets in the way of setting boundaries, and what can we do to make the work easier and less anxiety-inducing, and lead to long-term change?

This workshop is for you if you spend more time than you think you should feeling resentful, rushed, run down, irritated, grumpy, overwhelmed, overlooked, dismissed or taken for granted, or if you often feel exhausted or burned out. These are all signs that setting boundaries could be your best next step to help you get some rest and live the life you really want to live.
